■Overview of the FA series

Semi-automatic FA sealer features high precision sealing and powerful seal pressure. After setting sealing conditions on the control unit, sealer operates automatically by the set condition, which minimizes variations in seal performance that often generated by different operators. FA series is available in four seal length to accommodate various applications.

■ Predictive Heating Control System

It is a revolutionary system that improves seal accuracy.
After detecting the frame temperature, this system predicts sealing temperature and compares it to the temperature rise curve so as to calculate the needed heating time.
With calculated value, this sealer is capable of achieving consistent seals.
It also minimizes variation in seal performance when affected by residual heat after prolonged operation.
FA series is little affected by outside temperature, compared with other models.

 

■ Simple operation

Use control unit to set conditions such as heating time. Press SET to switch setting mode. After setting the appropriate sealing condition for the packaging material, select either automatic continuous operation or manual air pedal operation.

 

■ Good for a variety of packaging materials

The sealing pressure may be adjusted according to bag thickness and material. Adjust the pressure by turning the pressure adjuster nut located at the center of the pressure lever.

Seal length available in 200, 300, 450 and 600 mm.
Seal width available in 2, 5, and 10 mm.
In addition to a single heater type capable of sealing materials up to 0.3 mm thick (total thickness of overlapping sheets), there is a double-side heating type type capable of sealing thick, laminated and gusset bags up to 0.4 mm thick (total thickness of overlapping sheets).
Sealing an oxygen scavenger inside a gas-barrier material packaging can help extend a product life.

 

■ Table-switch plate

Users of the FA-200 and FA-300 series can press the table-switch plate to seal bags by setting air pedal under the plate. The applied pressure can be adjusted according to the weight of the package content. (Air pedal is set under the table switch plate before shipment.)

 

■ 10mm double-side heating models adopt the braided heating element

A braided heating element is used for the FA series with a product name ending in "10DK". The braided heating element is made by weaving nickel-chromium fine wires into braided cords.
Compared to conventional ribbon heating elements, since the edge shape is round, it is possible to perform a durable seal without edge breakage even after repeated use. It has a structure that is resistant to sticking, and this highly durable heating element can be used to seal thick films, laminated bags, and gusseted bags.

Options

■ Table (optional) Choose a table for your work environment

While we do provide the best table for general expected settings for each model, optional tables are available in cases the standard item does not match your needs.

1.  Standard table：This is a stainless, single-leaf table that attaches to the seal frame. There is no "600 standard table" as a standard table cannot be installed on a 600 mm sealer.

2.  Special Table：Special table can be attached to optional FA stand pipe to support heavy content. Height can be adjusted within the range of the support pipe. (See the photo bellow) If a table is required for the FA-450 and FA-600 series of sealers, use the FA stand combined with a special table.

 

 

■ Printer (optional)

An electronic printer (two-line printing device) may be installed on the FA series of sealers. For information on the FEP-N2 series, see this page.

■ FA Stand (optional)

For securing a good place to install your sealer
The FA Stand comes in very handy when there is no appropriate place on the counter or table to place the sealer, or when you need to use a Special Table.
All sealers in the FA series can be mounted on the FA Stand.

Safety Measures

■ Anti-finger jamming feature

Should an abnormal situation arise, it will be indicated on the LCD screen on the control unit (timer) and/or by an alarm sound. The clamping lever will not go down completely if a foreign object such as a finger is caught in the sealing area. The sealer is provided with a mechanism to return the lever to its initial position.
To stop machine movement during operation, press the Stop button.

※1：Small fingers such as those of small children may not stop the clamping lever from coming down completely.

 

■ Overheating Prevention

When power continues to be distributed to the heating element for about 4.0 seconds, the power switch turns off automatically and the power shuts off.
